A few important things to know before your Hey Girl photoshoot. Nothing heavy — just clarity, care, and keeping things smooth for everyone involved.

Booking, Payment & Group Details

To secure a Hey Girl photoshoot, one person from the group pays their portion as the booking deposit. This confirms your session date and time.

During the booking process, you’ll be asked to provide the contact details for the rest of your group so each friend can be sent their client intake form and their own invoice to pay their portion separately. All payments must be completed 48 hours prior to the shoot date.

Please note:

  • Booking deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your session time

  • Each participant’s payment secures their place within the session

  • The booking contact is responsible for providing accurate details for each participant

  • Group size must stay within the booked package

  • If fewer people attend on the day, pricing remains based on the original booking

  • Additional people cannot be photographed without prior approval

If a friend can no longer attend after booking, their portion isn’t refundable. Each payment holds space within the session, and the shoot will still go ahead with the group as booked. If another friend is able to take their place, that’s absolutely fine — just let me know ahead of time so I can update the details.

Sessions, Changes & Cancellations

Hey Girl sessions are designed to feel relaxed and fun, while still being photographer-led so everything runs smoothly.

  • Sessions begin at the scheduled time

  • Late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule

  • Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled if weather conditions aren’t suitable

  • No-shows forfeit their booking deposit

If someone in the group can’t attend, the session will still go ahead as planned. Friendships shift — and that’s okay. The focus is on capturing the group as they are on the day.

In the unlikely event that I’m unable to photograph your session due to illness or emergency, your booking will be rescheduled or refunded.

Images, Delivery, Privacy & Care

Your trust matters deeply — especially when photographing children and teens.

For anyone under 18, parent or guardian consent is required prior to the session. Image-sharing preferences are confirmed through our booking and individual intake forms, where each participant (or parent/guardian) is given the option to allow images to be shared on the Hey Girl website and social media, or to keep them completely private.

It’s the responsibility of each participant or parent/guardian to indicate their image-sharing preference before the session. If no consent is given, images will be kept private. Preferences can be updated at any time prior to image delivery.

Image Delivery

Final images are delivered digitally within two weeks of your session.

All images from the shoot are uploaded into one shared online gallery, which is accessible to all participants. This allows everyone in the group to view and download images at their discretion.

Galleries remain available for 60 days from delivery. During this time, images should be downloaded and safely saved. After this period, galleries may be archived or removed.

Hey Girl is not responsible for images once they have been delivered and made available for download.

Editing & Care

A few things to expect:

  • Images are edited in a natural, consistent Hey Girl style

  • No heavy retouching or body alteration is applied

  • Final image selection is photographer-curated

During sessions, safety, comfort, and respect always come first. Hey Girl reserves the right to end a session if behaviour or safety becomes a concern.
